How does dinner in under 10 minutes sound to you? I decided to give Kath’s easiest ever bean burgers a try, and not only were they really easy (10 minutes!) but they were really tasty too

Combine 1/3 C black beans (cooked, or from a can) with 1 T whole wheat bread crumbs, 1/2 t red pepper flakes and a few shakes of Worcestershire sauce.

Mash together. I found using the back of a spoon worked best. Shape bean mixture into a patty.

In a non-stick frying pan, heat 1 tsp canola oil on med-high. Cook bean burger for about 3 minutes on each side. You could skip the oil, and use non-stick spray, but I like the crispness the oil gives! And the healthy fats from the canola oil give even more staying power to the burger.

Serve on a whole-wheat bun, with a little spicy mustard, reduced-fat cheese, onion and spinach.
10 minutes, and dinner is ready
