Pumpkin Pie. In a Glass.

by Allison on January 1, 2010

Happy New Year! 2010 has started off wonderfully for me – out for breakfast, a great run and this fantastic smoothie.

Pumpkin Smoothie

I only wish I’d have made it back in October – this pumpkin smoothie would have been perfect in the fall!

Eat Clean Pumpkin Pie Protein Smoothie

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 banana (frozen)
  • 1/3 cup pureed pumpkin
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • pinch cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger (or a pumpkin pie spice)

Combine and blend! I also added a few drops of vanilla stevia :)

Pumpkin Smoothie

It was delicious! And so refreshing! There will be many more of these in 2010 – I should really start  buying cases of canned pumpkin! ;-)

What foods do you buy in bulk, or wish you could? I go through so many bananas and pumpkin!

That smoothie is such a fun color! Sounds delicious, too. Consider your recipe stolen. ;)

I just bought pumpkin yesterday (someone suggested putting it in chili), and I’m going to try your smoothie with some of it. It’s going to be nice to change it up from the spinach Shrek shakes I drink in the morning.

I would have to agree with you about the bananas and pumpkin! I have been obsessed with pumpkin oats (which also contain half a banana) since fall, and I’m still not sick of them!!

Well, I tried it, and it was very good. Husband liked it a lot and finished mine (he asked first). It’s a keeper.
